Students will acquire theoretical knowledge of the interaction of abiotic and biotic characteristics of the river basin, that create the ecostem. The design parameters of technical measures supporting the diversity of the riverbed to create optimal conditions for stream habitat will be shown.

The second part is focused on the basis of evaluation of abiotic and biotic parameters of watershed ecosystem, ecological aspects of landscape restoration and strategy for improving the quality of water habitats.

Included will be modeling of the quality of aquatic habitat and design of the technical solutions and river restoration measures, supported by computer technology.
